Our Story.
Rewind 19 years,
Husband and wife Lynn and Gabe Dellapasta first thought of the idea of Sailor Soap while boating in Key West, Florida. They found themselves in the ocean with no fresh water supply. Knowing regular hand soap does not lather well in ocean water, this moment sparked an idea in Lynn’s mind; a soap for an avid adventurer that will thoroughly lather in salt water.
Lynn has been a Licensed Paramedical Esthetician since 1990, so while formulating Sailor Soap, she utilized her knowledge to create a skin-safe soap. Lynn and her husband Gabe needed a formula that targets all three marks; breaks down safely into the environment, lathers in salt water & is safe for all skin types. She and her team did just that! With trial and error, it took 3 years to get the formulation up to standards, in 2005 Sailor Soap was ready to hit the market.
